Discolorations – “Souvenir” after holidays

When summer and holidays come to the end, it often turns out that in addition to great memories, thousands of photos and new acquaintances, other souvenirs remain with us. The beautiful tan comes off after a while, and the face shows unsightly discoloration. If we want to get rid of them, we must use the help of a specialist.

More than half of the discoloration on our skin is the result of the sun's rays, which is why proper sun protection and reduction of time spent "in the sun" are so important, especially when it shines most intensively. It is the discoloration that "gives us years" (some even say that they age us much more than wrinkles), and when they appear, fighting them can be really difficult and even the most expensive brightening and exfoliating cosmetics, although they will certainly help us reduce slightly their visibility and even out skin tone will not remove discoloration.

What are hyperpigmentation?

Discoloration is pigmentation - melanin deposits of dark pigment in our skin and iris of the eyes. The cause of hyperpigmentation may include hormonal disorders, genetic predisposition, some diseases and medications, and UV radiation on our skin. Today, I would like us to focus on discoloration resulting from excessive skin exposure to the sun.

Get to know the treatments that will help you eliminate them.

Aesthetic medicine versus discoloration

When discolorations appear, the only really effective solution that can not only significantly reduce them, but also remove them are aesthetic medicine treatments.

Phototherapy Forever Young BBL (BroadBand Light)

BBL phototherapy fights well with discoloration, thanks to it we can effectively reduce and eliminate "holiday souvenirs", resulting from excessive skin exposure to the sun. But this is not the end of this very modern treatment also perfectly eliminates the signs of aging, thanks to it your skin will look young and healthy for a long time.

How it's working?

Light energy produced during the treatment gently warms the upper layers of the skin, stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen, activates regenerative processes and, which is very important in the case of discoloration, reduces excess melanin. BBL phototherapy restores our skin's natural beauty, healthy even color, smoothness and elasticity. After the treatment, the skin at the discoloration site becomes darker, but do not worry, it is completely normal and in this case a very desirable symptom. This is because the intense light emitted deep into your skin is captured by melanin, which in turn is "burned out" and with the growth of new skin cells "goes out". You have to be patient, discolorations can "get out" to the skin's surface for a few or even several days after the procedure.

Thanks to phototherapy, we effectively get rid of shallow discoloration to make it happen, sometimes you only need one treatment, and sometimes after 2-3 weeks you need to do another. Everything is very individual, which is why the right approach to the patient, proper assessment of discoloration and the effects obtained after treatment are extremely important. The treatment does not require recovery, usually you can go back to daily activities and even perform delicate makeup immediately after it is performed. Remember, however, that the skin after phototherapy is very sensitive, therefore it cannot be exposed to sunlight.

SkinPen Microneedling with PRP

It is also a procedure that helps restore the skin's youthful appearance and get rid of sun spots. The SkinPen, precisely targeted at a selected part of the skin, removes the changed layer of skin while activating the healing process, as a result new cells quickly take the place of the ones removed during the procedure, discoloration "disappears" or decreases significantly, and the skin gains radiance and youthful appearance. The number of treatments to be performed is always decided by a specialist who will first assess the condition of your skin and then carefully monitor the results. It is also very important to be able to precisely adjust the intensity of the procedure individually to each patient. Impatiently I can say that the first effects are noticeable after 2-4 days after the procedure, so really very quickly. Remember that your skin after SkinPen Microneedling with PRP will be very sensitive to UV rays, so you should avoid direct exposure to the sun, not to mention the use of tanning beds. It is also necessary to use cosmetics that guarantee maximum protection against UV radiation until the irritated skin has completely healed.

Removal of discoloration is much more difficult if we are dealing with deep discoloration, then first you need to find out the reason for their occurrence. Very often they appear as a result of diseases or disorders in the functioning of our body and require the use of drug therapy. Removing them is more complicated and unfortunately we can't always get rid of them completely.

Remember that before you decide to perform any treatment in the field of aesthetic medicine, you should consult a specialist who will conduct a detailed interview with you about your health condition and if it is possible, will choose the appropriate treatment for you and individually adjust the length of the proposed therapy . It is very important to choose a place where experienced specialits will take care of you, who will always provide you with professional help and advice. I am convinced that such people will meet in my REVIVE CLINIC, where you will also find very modern treatments, know their scope of action, contraindications and effects that you can expect from them. And for the future remember about proper sun protection, prevention is better than cure.

Wonderful PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet rich plasma is a wonderful substance that we all have exclusively. We receive them from our own blood, so it is a completely natural and safe preparation. It works great for people suffering from all sorts of allergies. Platelet rich plasma injection is an increasingly popular anti-aging therapy. Why is this happening and what does platelet rich plasma give us?

What exactly is Platelet Rich Plasma?

Platelet rich plasma is an autologous concentrate of platelets suspended in a small amount of plasma. We obtain it by centrifuging previously collected patient's blood placed in special tubes. The platelet rich plasma separated in this way is a preparation containing active thrombocytes that release growth factors. These, in turn, stimulate the multiplication and division of epidermal cells, activate microcirculation, stimulate DNA synthesis, stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and stimulate the synthesis of intercellular matrix. Put simply, it is platelet-rich plasma that accelerates skin regeneration processes, thanks to which new healthy cells are formed faster, which results in a visible improvement in appearance.

Who needs a platelet rich plasma treatment?

Until quite recently, platelet-rich plasma was known mainly by athletes, it was perfectly done in the treatment of various types of injuries and injuries. This excellent natural preparation accelerates the healing of both soft tissues and bones, in addition, it reduces the risk of dangerous infections, reduces swelling and significantly shortens the recovery period. Today, its wonderful properties are successfully used in aesthetic medicine, allowing us to improve the condition of our skin and hair.

Platelet Rich Plasma injection

With the passage of time, our skin begins to age, this happens as a result of slowing regeneration processes. Skin cells can no longer regenerate as quickly as a young person, so they lose their firmness and density, wrinkles and discoloration appear. Aging skin becomes thinner and therefore more prone to dryness and irritation. Of course, all the time we should support our skin through proper care, adapted to both its type and age. Remembering at the same time that the "age" of our skin is not always a reflection of how old we are. It happens very often that the well-groomed skin of a forty-year-old looks much better than the skin of a thirty-year-old. Do not forget that many factors, both internal and external, are responsible for skin aging. Skin genes and skin health affect the condition. Our lifestyle and diet are also important here.

The fact is, however, that we will not stop time and sooner or later it will start to leave its marks on our skin. Then it is worth supporting it through platelet-rich plasma treatments. Injected under the skin, stimulate it to life and mobilize it to action. It will wake up already dormant fibroblasts, which will start to work again and produce new collagen, activate the formation of new blood vessels and stimulate mesenchymal stem cells. The injected skin regenerates and heals faster. The improving microcirculation, on the other hand, makes it properly oxygenated and nourished, its density improves, wrinkles are shallow and the color evens. Injecting with platelet rich plasma improves the face oval, firms and smoothes the skin, giving it a healthy, youthful appearance.

Scars and stretch marks

Ugly scars and stretch marks are difficult to treat. That is why proper care and quick start of treatment are very important. It is best to start fighting them when they are still fresh, then the effects of the therapy are really very good. The skin will become smooth and scars virtually invisible. Platelet-rich plasma is perfect here, as it accelerates skin regeneration and healing. As a result, new healthy tissues will begin to form in the injected area. Scars will change their structure, become smoother, more flexible, narrower and shallower. Their color will also change, they will be more similar to the healthy skin around them. Platelet-rich plasma treatment is also great as a therapy to accelerate wound healing and skin regeneration after surgery.

To help hair loss

Platelet-rich plasma, also called the "elixir of youth" for a reason, is also a great way to improve hair condition and a great weapon that is increasingly used to fight baldness. The problem with thinning, weakened and excessive hair loss affects both men and women. Fighting it with home remedies can not always bring the expected results, so it is worth supporting it by injecting the scalp with platelet rich plasma. The growth factors contained in it activate the hair follicles, thanks to which the dormant hair goes into the active growth phase. Their hair loss decreases, and most importantly, new, thicker and stronger hair appears. Remember, however, that one treatment will not work miracles, you also have to wait for the effects. The first may appear even after a few months.

Injecting with platelet rich plasma gives very good results, significantly improves the appearance of the skin, tightens it, makes it elastic, smoothes, refreshes and rejuvenates, it can also fight with unsightly and often life-hiding scars, and even restore lush hair. However, do not expect impossible things, the effects will not appear after one treatment, it is necessary to perform a series of 3-6 treatments at individually adjusted intervals.

Also remember that platelet-rich plasma therapy may not be applicable to everyone. The contraindication for performing the procedure is pregnancy, breastfeeding, autoimmune diseases, cancer, blood diseases, coagulation disorders and active skin infections. Therefore, before you decide on the treatment, choose a place where qualified specialists will take care of you, so that you can be sure that the decision to apply it has been made correctly. I encourage you to take advantage of the treatments carried out by the best specialists in REVIVE CLINIC ™.

Cellulite – unwanted partner of many women

Cellulite also called orange peel mainly affects women. This is the most common body defect today that is well known to most women over 20. Unfortunately, once it appears, fighting it can be really difficult. Today on our blog about why cellulite is formed and how to deal with it.

Cellulite is formed when there are disorders in microcirculation, then stasis and swelling are formed. There is also a change in metabolism, which in turn leads to the formation of a fatty tissue defect, which manifests itself in an uneven, folded, nodular, sometimes thickened surface of the skin, resembling an orange skin. Cellulite most often occurs on the thighs, stomach, arms and buttocks.

It is, though it cannot be seen with the naked eye

Cellulite may develop for a long time and initially give no symptoms visible on the surface of the skin. However, there is already venous and lymphatic stasis, which can be seen in a microscopic examination, then we are talking about the first degree of cellulite. Later, when it enters the second stage, the changes are visible to the naked eye, although most often it is noticeable only when we squeeze the folds of the skin. The third stage is changes that can be seen without the need to squeeze the skin or tighten the muscles, it is at this stage that cellulite takes the form of an orange skin, the fourth most advanced stage is additionally appearing bumps and clearly palpable under the fingers of hardening, at this stage may also appear pain.

Why is it created?

When we think about cellulite right before our eyes we have a person struggling with overweight or even obesity. That is why it is worth mentioning that such changes also apply to slim and active women.

The following are responsible for the formation of cellulite:

  • Hormones - estrogens are most often blamed - female hormones responsible, among others, for the formation of reproductive organs and regulation of the menstrual cycle, the problem occurs when there are too many of them, then there is, among others, circulatory disorders, excessive water storage in the body, tissue growth fat and swelling. However, this is not the end of insulin, prolactin and hormonal disorders occurring in the course of thyroid disease.
  • Diet - a diet low in vegetables and fiber and rich in highly processed products as well as salt and animal fats is also very important here. It promotes water retention, excessive fat accumulation, constipation and leads to circulatory disorders. Adverse effects also have too much coffee, sweet carbonated drinks, alcohol and cigarettes.
  • Lack of physical activity - cellulite is also favored by a sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical activity, then muscle mass decreases and fat tissue increases. Regular muscle work, however, supports the work of the circulatory system, while reducing the risk of stasis and swelling.
  • Tight clothes - impede the flow of blood and lymph in the tissues, and by disrupting their proper functioning, they increase the risk of cellulite. The situation is similar, unfortunately, also in the case of high-heeled shoes, which can also contribute to circulatory disorders and, as a result, promote the formation of cellulite.
  • Stress - cellulite is also favored by chronic stress, which is when excessive cortisol secretion occurs, which promotes fat deposits and long-term muscle tension, which impedes proper blood flow.
  • Drugs - cellulite may also appear as a result of taking certain medications, e.g. antihistamines, medicines used to treat hyperthyroidism, betablockers, and sometimes also hormonal contraception.
  • High temperature - high temperature is conducive to the formation of an orange skin, so it is worth giving up hot baths, frequent visits to the sauna and solarium, and excessive body exposure to the sun

How to deal with cellulite?

Homemade ways

Fighting cellulite is not easy, but we can effectively improve the condition of the skin, increase its tone, improve circulation and accelerate regeneration. Appropriate care can be effective when cellulite is still in its early stages. Good results are achieved by massage, you can use a special rough sponge and shower with cold and warm water for this purpose. Massaging the body with ice cubes is also a great way. After such a procedure, it is enough to apply a good cream or lotion intended for cellulite-prone skin. Coffee peeling 2-3 times a week also works very well. Coffee supports the reduction of adipose tissue and reduces the formation of new ones, firms, tightens and smoothes the skin, improves circulation, speeds up metabolism and perfectly oxygenates.

Aesthetic medicine versus cellulite

When home remedies fail, it is worth using the help of a specialist. Remember also that time counts, if you get to the aesthetic medicine office in the early stages of cellulite, fighting it will be easier and less painful and the effects more visible. Therefore, it is worth making an appointment before the changes visible on your body appear. Experienced specialists will take care of you at REVIVE CLINIC™, who will assess the condition of your skin and arrange the best treatment plan for you.

  • CELLULITE REDUCTION COMBINATION THERAPY designed by Dr Chris Gojdz MD, PHD

  • ICOONE Laser – lymphatic drainage.

Based on our years of expirience this may be an the most effective treatment for reducing cellulite.

  • CRYO T SHOCK

This treatment freezes unwanted fat to get rid of it. With this cryolipolysis, fat below the skin is reduced. You'll need multiple treatments. Results appear gradually over few weeks.

  • MESOTHERAPY

The treatment involves injecting a cocktail of natural extracts, as well as amino acids, pharmaceuticals and vitamins into the middle layers of the skin. This is done to promote local circulation, local metabolism and hence it leads to localized fat loss, skin firmness and a substantive reduction of cellulite.

  • ANTI-CELLULITE MASKS and BODY WRAP.

Various topical treatments are promoted as capable of reducing the skin dimpling of cellulite by improving skin texture and plumping the skin. The effect of applying these creams to the affected skin is likely indirect and short-lived. If you want to try such creams, look for products that include caffeine, retinol, and alpha hydroxy acids and aminophylline.

Remember that what treatments will be best for you should be decided by an experienced specialist who will conduct a detailed interview with you, get acquainted with your state of health and carefully look at the changes that have appeared on your skin. The specialist will also decide on how many and what treatments you will need to obtain satisfactory results, how long the therapy will last and how you should care for your skin after its completion.

Acne scars

Acne scars belong to the so-called atrophic scars. Most often they are just round hollows and although those who are not affected by the problem may seem to be an unnoticeable ailment, for those who have to face them, sometimes they are a really big problem not only of aesthetic, but also psychological nature.

Some of them are really very difficult to hide even under intense makeup, and home methods unfortunately do not bring the expected results. Today on my blog about how thanks to aesthetic medicine we can get rid of them effectively.

Atrophic scars arise when as a result of interference, too little collagen, which plays a key role in the healing process, is produced. Most often they are a residue from acne lesions. They can be small or large, shallow or deep, round or linear, sometimes they occur one at a time, and sometimes there are a lot of them, when they are where they are easy to see, they often cause shame and take away our confidence.

Are acne scars always formed?

Not all acne-like skin lesions have to leave scars in the form of scars, but unfortunately it happens so often. A lot depends on both our genetic predisposition and the severity of skin lesions. Hygiene, care and treatment of the resulting changes are also significant.

Scars very often arise in people who do not use any therapy or the treatment used is not appropriate. There is also a very high risk of "squeezing", which, unfortunately, some can not refrain from, and - what is worse - very often do not keep the basic rules of hygiene. Such treatment of purulent eruptions formed on the skin, usually ends with superinfection, which, unfortunately, significantly aggravates the case and contributes to the formation of acne scars.

Prevention is better than cure

That is why proper care for acne prone skin is very important, if you make sure that the eruptions heal faster and support skin regeneration, certainly acne scars will be much less visible and in some cases will not appear at all.

It is very important to clean the skin every day, you can use special anti-bacterial cosmetics, they should not only be thoroughly cleansed, but also have soothing properties.

Instead, avoid soap, perfumed cosmetics and cosmetics that dry the skin excessively. It is also very important to be moderate, cleaning the skin too often may irritate it, and this will only aggravate the problem and increase the risk of scars.

Be sure to also maintain the proper pH of your skin, so after washing, be sure to use a tonic that will work perfectly in this role.

Also remember that even acne prone skin, which is usually oily, needs proper hydration. Use light creams for this purpose, especially for problem skin. It is also good to perform a peeling exfoliating dead skin 1-2 times a week, the best for skin with purulent lesions will be an enzyme peeling, thanks to which you will gently remove impurities, unclog pores and accelerate the regeneration process.

However, avoid peels containing abrasive particles, they can violate purulent skin lesions and cause worsening of symptoms. Finally, probably one of the most important rules for caring for skin with acne lesions - never squeeze them, thus avoiding their superinfection, spreading and significantly reducing the risk of scarring.

What if the scars appear anyway?

Unfortunately, if scars, despite careful care and refraining from scratching and squeezing the skin lesions, appear anyway, you will certainly not remove them at home. Therefore, if you want to get rid of them, you should use the help of a specialist.

At REVIVE CLINIC™ based on Dr Chris Gojdz years of experience the best combination for reducing acne scars: Forever Young BBL Phototherapy + SkinPen Microneedling + PRP + LED Therapy

FOREVER YOUNG BBL treatment is a light-based therapy that penetrates the deep layers of the skin to induce collagen production. It is also known as photo-rejuvenation.

SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING for acne scars allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair process by creating precise, micro-injuries in the skin, which automatically triggers new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation. In addition, the mechanical creation of microscopic channels into the deep dermis allows for the temporary penetration of topical normally not absorbed by the skin.

PRP (Platelet Reich Plasma) for acne scars is based on the natural process called “healing cascade.” This involves a series of regeneration and remodeling steps in the body. When the external tissue injury occurs, the body triggers a response to increase the production of “signal proteins” that can be used at the trauma site.

These signal proteins consist of platelets, white blood cells, and adult stem cells. The signal proteins concentrated in PRP include growth factors that will help generate the production of fresh collagen and elastin, which will reduce stretch marks from the inside out in a natural looking way.

LED Therapy target and treat scars using red light to heal skin, reduce inflammation and redness.

Remember, however, that this procedure can only be performed when the acne lesions are already cured, and active inflammation is, unfortunately, a contraindication to it. That is why it is so important to consult a specialist who will thoroughly examine your skin, conduct a detailed interview about your health condition and propose a scar treatment plan appropriate for you.

Difficult fight against acne

Acne is very often a problem that is difficult to deal with and although it is most often associated with a condition affecting teenagers, it does not bypass adults.

Acne is very often a problem that is difficult to deal with and although it is most often associated with a condition affecting teenagers, it does not bypass adults. When the sebaceous glands work incorrectly, blackheads and purulent pimples appear on the skin. Most such skin changes can be seen in the so-called T zone (forehead, nose and chin). The cause of acne is very often hormonal disorders, which do not always relate only to adolescence. The reason may also be the use of hormonal contraception, polycystic ovary syndrome or thyroid disease. Increased activity of sebaceous glands also causes stress and poor diet. Acne in adults very often requires consultation of a dermatologist and sometimes also an endocrinologist, and the implementation of pharmacological treatment. However, proper skin care is not without significance here. So what to do to help therapy and get rid of unsightly imperfections?

The right choice

Acne skin care is a big challenge requires not only patience, but also regularity and the use of cosmetics specially selected for it. First of all, remember that you must not use ones that will dry it, i.e. those that contain e.g. alcohol or menthol, or those that will clog pores, i.e. those that contain oiling substances. For proper care, choose those that will moisturize, antibacterial, soothe and regenerate. Give up soap and perfumed cosmetics instead. It is worth knowing that the excessive amount of sweat also has a harmful effect, which is why it is good to have special tissues or cleansing pads on warm days or during physical activity.

Cleansing

A very important element of skin care prone to acne changes is cleansing. But remember not to overdo it, washing it too often can cause irritation and excessive drying, which in turn leads to increased sebum production and aggravates the problem. All you need to do is gently cleanse your face twice a day, morning and evening, remembering to carefully remove any makeup residue. Choose delicate gels or foams best for acne skin. It is also very important not to use a soap to wash the face which destroys its natural lipid coat.

A tonic for special tasks

Some cosmetics for washing the face increase the pH of the skin, so it is very important to use a tonic whose basic action is to restore the proper pH level. Thanks to this, the skin can naturally defend against the effects of external pollution. Normal skin pH is slightly acidic, and even slight fluctuations can exacerbate acne symptoms. A well-chosen tonic also has a refreshing, cleansing, matting, delicately moisturizing and narrowing effect. Remember to use it always after washing your face.

Moisturize, do not grease

It is very important to choose the right moisturizing creams with a light texture and anti-acne effect. The most common component of acne creams is benzoyl peroxide present in a concentration of 2.5 to 10%, it has an exfoliating, deeply cleansing effect, limiting sebum production, anti-inflammatory and fighting bacteria responsible for the formation of acne.

Unfortunately, it increases the production of free radicals, accelerates the aging process, reduces vitamin E levels and makes the skin more sensitive to UV radiation. It can also cause irritation and allergic reactions. It is therefore important not to choose preparations in which the concentration of benzoyl peroxide is high and not to use them continuously.

It is also worth supporting the skin with cosmetics containing antioxidants, e.g. vitamin C and E. It is very important to use creams with a high UV filter. Preparations containing sulfur also have a good effect, which reduces the secretion of sebum, exfoliates dead skin, cleanses, narrows the pores and has anti-inflammatory properties. Sulfur does not cause irritation and is usually well tolerated, the only downside may be its characteristic smell. Tea tree oil is also a popular ingredient and has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. However, sometimes it causes excessive drying and irritates the skin.

To accelerate the healing of acne lesions, delay the effects of aging and prevent excessive drying, it is worth choosing products containing lactobionic acid. It has exfoliating properties, while maintaining adequate skin hydration, stimulates collagen synthesis, improves microcirculation and has strong antioxidant properties. Aloe vera also has antiseptic, prosecution and anti-inflammatory effects. What's more, it maintains proper hydration of the skin, supports protection against UV radiation and stimulates regeneration of the epidermis.

We exfoliate the skin

The stratum corneum of the skin prone to acne slowly peels off, closing the sebaceous glands, thus leading to sebum retention and the formation of blackheads. Accumulated secretions are an ideal environment for bacteria that cause blackheads to turn into purulent pimples. Therefore, exfoliating treatment should be performed 1-2 times a week. The best choice will be enzyme peels, which will gently remove keratinized epidermis, unclog pores and speed up the regeneration process. However, avoid peels containing abrasive particles, they can violate purulent skin lesions and cause worsening of symptoms.

Don't squeeze!

Although sometimes it is difficult to refrain from squeezing, it is worth remembering that this can cause the spread of skin lesions. So instead of helping yourself, we will worsen the situation and increase the risk of acne scars. Replace extrusion with point-acting preparations that accelerate healing, dry out and have a strong antibacterial effect.

Professional help

In order to achieve a better acne fight effect, I propose at REVIVE CLINIC to my patients a cleansing treatment combined with a drainage massage stimulating microcirculation and skin regeneration as well as a medical peeling with pyruvic and lactic acid, which regenerate, regulate sebaceous glands, reduce sebum and have antibacterial activity. The best results can also be obtained thanks to the innovative Forever Clear BBL phototherapy method. During the treatment, light of a specific wavelength goes deep into the skin and, acting very precisely on the sebaceous glands, reduces inflammation, accelerates healing and inhibits sebum production. Phototherapy is completely painless and non-invasive, so it does not require special convalescence. Satisfactory results can be obtained by repeating the treatment several times. However, if the problem after acne has been treated is unsightly scars, I recommend using laser therapy, thanks to which the hollows on the skin will be smoothed.

Drop eyelids… The problem is not only aesthetic

With age, our skin regenerates more and more slowly, loses its density, is less tense and sometimes begins to fall attracted by the law of gravity. The cause of this condition is, among others, muscle weakness and a decrease in the amount and efficiency of collagen fibers and elastin. The problem of drooping, flabby skin is visible primarily in areas that are poor in subcutaneous tissue, e.g. eyelids.

Today, a little about whether drooping eyelids is just an aesthetic problem and whether only surgery can be a salvation.

Not only age

Drooping eyelids are associated primarily with the passage of time, but we are not always aware of the fact that this problem can also affect young people and even children. It also happens that the drooping eyelid is a problem with which we were born. There are many causes of eyelid drooping, the ailment may be the result of improper innervation, disorders in the development of muscles responsible for eyelid raising or the effect of injury. Sometimes it is also a symptom of serious diseases, including diabetes; stroke, muscular dystrophy. Drooping eyelids can also be associated with excess skin, face shape, ill-chosen lighting in the workplace, or simply the aging of our body.

Is it just the look?

Of course, drooping eyelids do not look nice and there is nothing to cheat, so they are an aesthetic problem. They make us look tired and constantly depressed, and worse older than we are in reality. Unfortunately, drooping eyelids can also be a health problem, and not only when they occur as a symptom accompanying serious diseases, but also when sagging skin and weakening muscles begin to limit our field of vision. This situation can already seriously hinder your daily functioning and even prevent you from performing certain activities.

What can we do to prevent eyelids from falling down?

If the problem of drooping eyelids is the result of the aging of our body, the best method is the proper care of the skin around the eyes, which will help us slightly delay the effect of passing time. This should also be remembered by very young people, the aging process of the skin goes on even when it is not yet noticeable to the naked eye. Initially, changes in appearance occur very slowly and are practically invisible, but over time, there are more and more, and worse they become clearer. It should be remembered that not everyone is aging the same and at the same time. Our appearance is affected by many factors, but a large part of them can be eliminated and thus slow down the impact of passing time on our skin. The sooner we take care of ourselves, the better the effects will be.

Less stress, more sleep

Remember to have enough sleep and reduce stress. Our skin regenerates most intensively at night. It cleanses the toxins accumulated during the day and absorbs the nutrients it provides best. Let us try not to take skin precious time away and let us ensure a good and adequate sleep. It is best if you go to bed before 12PM, then the skin works most intensively. Stress also affects the condition of our skin. The cortisol secreted in excess, among other things, called the stress hormone, has a very adverse effect on our entire body, including the skin, which under the influence of its action ages much faster. If possible, try to ensure yourself time for proper relaxation and, what is very important, avoid stressful situations just before bedtime.

Health locked in food

Our diet also affects the condition of the skin, so if you want it to be in good shape for longer, try to eat healthy so that it provides it with all the necessary vitamins and minerals. Avoid stimulants, sugar, salt and highly processed foods. More about the importance for our beauty of what we eat read on my blog.

Watch out for the light

Make sure you choose the right light in the workplace. It is very important that the lighting of e.g. a computer does not force us to squint constantly. The light cannot be too sharp so that it does not hurt the eyes, nor should it be reflected in the monitor screen. Then we will avoid excessive wrinkling and stretching of the skin, which will not only allow us to reduce the risk of wrinkles, but also protect ourselves for longer from the symptom of a drooping eyelid. Also remember that for your eyes and the skin around them, rest is also very important, so you try to take breaks at work and allow your eyes to relax.

Dangerous radiation

The delicate skin around the eyes also needs careful sun protection. It is therefore necessary not only to use creams with a high filter, but also to avoid direct sun exposure. A very important element of skin care around the eyes, helping to delay the effects of aging is also wearing sunglasses, which must necessarily be equipped with protective filters, otherwise they can seriously harm your eyes.

To care before it's too late

The best form of fighting drooping eyelids, which are the result of aging of our body, is prevention, which is careful care of the eye area. Thin and delicate skin around them, has few sebaceous glands, so it dries much faster, it becomes flaccid, wrinkles appear and begins to fall. Well-groomed will age slower and much nicer. Young 18-25-year-old women should take care primarily of careful hydration of the eye area, but after 25th

birthday, a gentle anti-wrinkle cream should already be included. In the following years, taking care of proper tension, moisturizing, nourishing and firming the skin is a necessary element of its care. To strengthen the effects, from time to time it is also worth using a serum, choose the one that will suit your needs. The cosmetic can intensively nourish, moisturize, but also tighten and firm your skin. Careful makeup removal is also very important. Make sure you do it carefully, but very gently. Use special cosmetics designed for sensitive skin around the eyes. Remember, leftovers of makeup left overnight will not allow your skin to regenerate, so they will accelerate the appearance of wrinkles and make the skin around the eyes look swollen and tired. The effect of accelerated aging may also be the appearance of drooping eyelids.

Do not forget to choose cosmetics to the individual needs of your skin.

What to do when eyelids begin to drop?

If, despite careful care, over time the eylids naturally begin to fall, it is worth taking advantage of the benefits of aesthetic medicine. It is very important, however, that you go to a specialist immediately when the problem starts to be visible, without waiting for the eyelids to fall down, they really start to consolidate your life. The sooner, the effects of the treatments require better. Today, many imperfections can be eliminated even without using a scalpel.

A helpful Microneedling

An effective method that allows you to restore the firmness of the skin around the eyes and help deal with the first signs of aging, e.g. in the form of a drooping eyelid, is a treatment using SkinPen Microneedling. The SkinPen causing the skin change, activate healing processes and intensive regeneration, as well as turn on new models of collagen fibers, thanks to which the skin regains its content and firmness, reduces the visibility of wrinkles and skin flaccidity. The treatment will make it look younger, and its content must contain raised eyelids.

PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma

Injecting the skin with platelet rich plasma obtained from the patient's blood brings very good results. Active platelets in the plasma secrete the growth factors necessary for cell regeneration.
