WHAT IS COSMELAN®?
Cosmelan® treatment is currently one of the most effective methods to lighten the skin.
It is perfect for those having discolorations, freckles or sun-burn skin changes. The skin after Cosmelan® treatment looks younger and is clearly lightened, in addition, tension of the skin is extended and small wrinkles are smooth.
Cosmelan® treatment uses substances to stop tyrosinase, an enzyme stimulating melanin production in the skin. Preparations with this substance light epidermis.
Cosmelan® treatment is very safe, this is why individuals with various skin types can apply it.
HOW DOES COSMELAN® TREATMENT LOOK LIKE?
The treatment has two stages.
The first one is to apply a strongly peeling mask at a specialist’s office. Depending on the skin phototype and kind, that mask should remain on the skin surface from 5 to 8 hours. After the time of exposure recommended by the specialist, the patient removes the mask at home, cleansing the skin thoroughly with warm water. When bearing the mask on the skin and after removing it, avoid exposing your skin to sun and heat sources.
The second stage is the home treatment 1 to 2 months long – regular application of Cosmelan® cream the patient is given with at the Revive Clinic™. The cream increases the depigmenting action of the Cosmelan® mask by way of controlling melanin production, as an effect, preventing from both discolorations appearing again and new discolorations coming into existence.
WHAT PART OF THE BODY CAN BE TREATED?
Most parts of the body can be treated. The treatment is recommended especially for the face as well as other areas of the body with discolorations, such as hands, arms or neckline. The Revive Clinic™ specialist will evaluate thoroughly the skin condition and choose the optimal therapy tailored to the needs of your skin.
